SWT™ Basic
Reverse Osmosis System

Basic R.O. System

This unit is designed specifically for chlorinated municipal water applications. It is capable of producing up to 20 gallons per day of high quallity water for a fraction of the cost of bottled water and with none of the hassles.

More than just healthy drinking water for adults, children and pets. RO quality water is also great for use in appliances such as steam irons, humidifiers, ice makers, and car batteries.

HOW IT WORKS:

  • First the water is filtered through a 5 micron sediment trap that works to remove silt, sand, sludge, and grit form the water supply. It also protects the RO element from cloging
  • The water is then hyperfiltrated through a reverse osmosis element that treats the water down to the molecular level. It will reject 93% to 99+% of contaminates such as salt, nitrates, lead, fluoride, iron, copper, mercury, and arsenic. It also filters out larger organisms such as giardia cysts and cryptosporidium. The water then enters a storage tank until needed.
  • The water's final filtration process, just prior to the faucet, is a very fine carbon block filter which removes compounds such as pesticides and a host of chmicals that have been deemed primary drinking hazards by the EPA.

GENERAL INSTALLATION AND SERVICE PARAMETERS
The Basic RO System will work at peak efficiency on either municipal or ground water supplies that do not exceed the following:
Maximum psi
TDS
Iron
Hardness
Hydrogen Sulfide
Manganese
125 lbs.
1800 ppm
0.4 ppm
17 gr/gal
0.05 ppm
0.1 ppm
The Basic has been designed to give many years of trouble free service. To keep the system operating in peak efficiency, it is expected every six months for possible prefilter sediment clogging (especially if there is a lot of sediment in the water supply).
The manufacturer recommends that the system be serviced an an annual basis to replace all of the carbon filters, the RO module*, and the UV lamp.

* The Basic RO module may last for a much longer period of time on relatively good water. Check with your water Water Treatment Professional for local water characteristics and testing.
