The Slimline Biolyte™ ultraviolet purifier is designed
to be either a stand alone unit or a final stage in a reverse osmosis system.
Similar in design to our counter top model, this
unit also has a three stage filtration system. First the water is filtered down
to 20 microns to filter out any sediment in the water. Then the water passes
through a 1-2 micron compressed block of activated carbon to remove chlorine,
taste, odor, and chemical impurities from the water. The water then enters a
stainless steel disinfecting chamber where it is exposed to high levels of
ultraviolet light which attacks harmful microorganisms, bacteria, viruses and
sterilizes them. No chemicals are use and no residual UV is left in the
water. |
